Will Smith, although he initially became famous as a rapper, Will Smith went on to prove his acting talents in both television and films, eventually winning a reputation as an entertainer who could easily cross back and forth between musician and actor. In the process, he became one of the most successful entertainers--African-American or otherwise--in the American popular consciousness of the 1990s.
A native of Philadelphia, Smith was born on September 25, 1968. The son of middle-class parents (his father owned a refrigeration company and his mother worked for the school board) and the second of four children, he earned the nickname "Prince" thanks to his ability to talk himself out of trouble. The nickname became part of his popular persona when, with fellow rapper Jeff Townes, Smith (who had been rapping since the age of twelve) formed the duo DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince. Smith found fame as a rapper, producing two platinum albums and winning a Grammy for He's the DJ, I'm the Rapper.

Amitabh Bachchan was born in Allahabad in 1942, to Dr. Harivansh Rai Bachchan and Teji Bachchan. Bachchan was initially named Inquilaab. However, at the suggestion of fellow poet, Harivansh Rai changed the name to Amitabh which means, “the light that would never go off.” Though his surname was Shrivastava, he replaced it with ‘Bachchan’, which was his father’s pen name. Amitabh Bachchan studied in Allahabad at Jnana Pramodhini and Boys High School. He completed his education at Sherwood College in Nainital and Kirori Mal College in Delhi. His first job was in Shaw Wallace. Amitabh later worked as a freight broker for a shipping firm called Bird and Co., in Kolkata, a job he quit to pursue a career in acting. Amitabh Bachchan needs no introduction in India or even abroad. The man seems to hold in him a charisma that remains unrivalled. An entrepreneur, politician, game show host, a singer, voiceover artist, and an actor - the roles he played are immortalized and idolized. A huge fan base that reveres him as though he is a demi-god and a multitude of awards and recognition gravitates to him endlessly, year after year after year. But his ride to stardom was anything but smooth.

Claim to fame : NFL's New England Patriots quarterback (2000)
Tom Brady has three times led the New England Patriots to the championship of the National Football League. In only his second year in the league, Brady replaced injured starting QB Drew Bledsoe in the second game of the 2001 season and remained the starter the rest of the year. With Brady at the helm, the Patriots scored a 20-17 upset victory over the St. Louis Rams in Super Bowl XXXVI in February 2002. Brady was named the Super Bowl's most valuable player and became the youngest starting quarterback ever to win the Super Bowl. In 2004 the Patriots were back in Super Bowl XXXVIII, and again Brady was named the game's MVP as he led the Patriots to a 32-29 win over the Carolina Panthers. In 2005 Brady and the Patriots again went to the big game, defeating the Philadelphia Eagles, 24-21, in Super Bowl XXXIX. He was named the most valuable player of the NFL in 2007, when the Patriots had a perfect 16-0 record in the regular season before losing to the New York Giants in the Super Bowl. In the season opener of 2008 he injured his knee and missed the entire season. He was replaced that year by backup Matt Cassel, but returned for the 2009 season. He signed a four-year, $72 million contract extension before the start of the 2010 season, paying him $18 million per season with a total of $48.5 million guaranteed. That made Brady the NFL's highest-paid player (at that moment, at least) and assured that he would stay with the Patriots through the 2014 season.
