Bio: Shraddha Kapoor was born in Mumbai to actor Shakti Kapoor and Shivangi Kapoor. She is the niece of actress Padmini Kolhapure. Her older brother Siddhanth is a Disc Jockey and an assistant director. She did her schooling at Jamnabai Narsee School in Juhu and then enrolled at Boston University, taking up theatre studies. She quit during her freshman year in order to pursue acting.

Budding actress Shraddha Kapoor is the youngest of the two children born to veteran actor Shakti Kapoor and Shivangi. She is also the neice of the famous actress Padmini Kolhapure who was her aunt (mother's sister). She did her debut in Bollywood with the multi starrer film 'Teen Patti' starring veteran star Amitabh Bachchan. She did her schooling in Jamnabai Narsee School, Juhu and complted her high school in Boston.

As a young girl she knew that acting was in her blood. She took up theatre studies during her high school in Boston. She later learnt diction and acting under Mohit Tugnait at home. For Teen Patti, she did workshops with Royston Abel and Barry John along with the numerous script readings and group meetings with the director Leena Yadav.

Shraddha also featured on the cover page of the Elle Magazine in the January 2011 issue. The Kapoor girl recently became the brand ambassador for the cosmetic giant Lakme. Though 'Teen Patti' didnt fare well at the Box Office her presence didn't go unnoticed. She has now signed a three years contract with Yash Raj Films (YRF) and will be seen in their upcoming film 'LUV KA THE END' Being a star child she is often compared with her father and aunt. Shraddha Kapoor is yet to make a hold in Tinsel Town and come out of her father's shadow.
